I desire to give an expression of gratitude for the many...
I desire to give an expression of gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science during the past sixteen years. I did not come to it for physical healing, but it was presented to me by a very dear friend who knew of its joys and benefits, and who said that I could not help but profit by its teachings if I would accept them. I put forth the arguments people often indulge in, but my friend persevered until, my reason appealed to, I accepted Christian Science as the truth revealed to us in this age. Since that time it has been the only physician in our family of four. I have two children, and in raising them have found Christian Science of invaluable help mentally, as well as physically. Through knowledge of God as the only intelligence they have always been among the first in their classes. And physically it has carried them through every suggestion of disease that has presented itself.
My husband had been the victim of tonsillitis for many years, but when the difficulty came up again, after we had studied Christian Science awhile, we had the help of a practitioner; and though the attack was severe, through God's love we were the victors. The ailment has never returned. When he awoke and found himself "clothed, and in his right mind," he discovered that the desire for smoking had also gone. Constipation of years' standing was destroyed through study and without conscious effort.
For myself, I am most grateful for the lifting of a morbid disposition. Whereas I used to be so sensitive—hurt all the time—I now experience love, and see it reflected in greater and greater degree, as I realize that God's universe is peopled with Love's ideas. Also, I was healed of a very malignant case of eczema. It appeared on my hands and feet, but Truth healed it, and the skin was renewed like that of a little baby.
