Christian Science came to me at a time when a four-year-old child began asking questions which I could not answer. As I had never been a student of the Bible, there was much that was puzzling. Some years before this I was invited to attend a Christian Science Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I thought the service beautiful, but could not then believe all the testimonies given, for they were so different from anything I had ever heard of God. However, when Christian Science was again offered to me, I grasped at it hungrily, for we were much in need of what it had to offer.

Since then many forms of error in our home have yielded to this truth. Crossed eyes have been straightened, and glasses were laid aside after two specialists had said they would always have to be worn for fear the sight of one eye would be lost. That was the verdict before the child started to school. He is now through high school and has not worn glasses since entering the first grade. His sight is normal. This healing was accomplished just through my reading of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Another member of the family was healed of typhoid fever. Fellow employees, who felt that nothing was being done for the patient, brought in a doctor, who after an examination said that the patient could not live four hours. The physician was told that Christian Science treatment was being given the patient, and we felt that everything would be all right. Ten days later this member of the family made a trip of five hundred miles by railroad, with no ill effects; and a speedy recovery followed.
