I did not begin the study of Christian Science for physical healing, but through a desire to find the truth as Jesus taught it. I wanted the undivided garment.

I was brought up by Baptist parents, and the Bible was our daily companion, but I often wondered why Christians did not heal disease as well as preach the gospel.

Like many others I was opposed to what I thought Christian Science was, but I had not read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, long until I found what I had been seeking. It is over twenty years since I began the study of Christian Science, and during this time I have been healed of many ills, of an ulcerated stomach, sick headaches, constipation, influenza, broken bones, heart trouble (supposed to be hereditary), and many other discordant manifestations. This truth has been our only physician for many years, and I have never known it to fail when properly applied.
