In Christian Science divine Mind, God, is the only healer. Cures are wrought as the direct result of applying the spiritual laws of God in a definite manner to correct the human or false evidence of disease. The conclusion reached by the article, namely, that there is no universal panacea for human suffering, applies to material methods only. Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "The sick are more deplorably lost than the sinning, if the sick cannot rely on God for help and the sinning can" (p. 143). "When the Science of being is universally understood, every man will be his own physician, and Truth will be the universal panacea" (p. 144).

It should not be forgotten that Christ Jesus never employed drugs, nor advocated their use. On the contrary, he healed both sin and sickness by his spiritual understanding of God. His prescription was, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In proportion as we demonstrate divine Truth are we healed; and divine Principle is immutable and omnipotent.
