"And have not charity"

LENA M. HALL

IT is a simple thing to give a coat,
To stand between a neighbor and the cold.
We run with a warm smile to a side door,
Quick as the need is told.

Is it too hard a thing
For you and me
To fold about a brother's blighting wrong
A full-blown charity?
