Your editorial in the Ledger of the thirteenth instant, on...

Jewish Ledger

Your editorial in the Ledger of the thirteenth instant, on the subject of "The Malden Miracles" is quite interesting, but it is with regret that I note you have confused Christian Science healing with this incident.

Christian Science does not depend upon a blind faith, nor does its healing result from any action of the so-called human mind. The carnal mind is not and could not be a factor in the healing work, because the Bible declares that "the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."

Christian Science healing is purely metaphysical, is in full accord with the teachings of the Bible, and is Christian in its method and application. It is not confined to the cure of physical disease, but is applicable to all ills. Its particular mission, however, is the destruction of sin, thereby illustrating the redemptive power of true Christianity.
