It is almost thirty-two years since I began the study of Christian Science. I became interested through what my mother told me of it, she having been studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for several years prior to that time.

During these years my mother, father, sister, husband, and three children have had various physical healings through the power of Truth as taught in Christian Science. It is not possible for me accurately to name the diseases which were destroyed through Truth, as we never called in a doctor to diagnose our ills; but we have always been relieved of our sufferings through our own efforts or with the aid of a Christian Science practitioner, and rejoice that God is able to deliver from torment to-day just as He did in days of old.

I shall never forget the joy I felt in 1914, when living in Edmonton, Alberta, at the time my eldest son, then a young lad, was quickly healed after he had been accidentally shot by a rifle. The two doctors whom friends had lovingly called in said that an operation within two hours was necessary, but after a family conference we decided to give the case to a Christian Science practitioner; so we dismissed the doctors after they had dressed the wound. In less than ten days the boy was back at school, playing ball as usual and being in every way as active as he was before the accident. It was a beautiful healing, and one over which our family has never ceased to rejoice.
