Attending Church Services

Mrs. Eddy continues through her written works to admonish, advise, and guide her church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. In the Manual of The Mother Church her many precepts are conclusive evidence that she considered work in the church activities, which she established with so much care and patience, an effective way of demonstrating the truth of being, as revealed to her, and through her to all mankind.

Progress requires that church members should be loyal to the organization which Mrs. Eddy planned and established, and that all church activities should operate under the authority of the Church Manual. These By-Laws are found to be practical and divinely ordained, because, when obeyed and followed, they lead to a better understanding of God and of man's relation to Him.

If one is tempted to withdraw from the Church of Christ, Scientist, because of the argument that perfect harmony is not yet found within the church but may be found outside the organized activities, one should recognize this as an erroneous suggestion.
