As we have had so many wonderful healings in our family through Christian Science I feel that I should give this testimony as an expression of gratefulness.

In September, 1912, my mother was told by the doctors that an operation was necessary to save her life. She was in a very much weakened condition, and for days had been unable to retain any food. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity," and it was at this time that a Christian Science practitioner was called in. the healing was slow, but the difficulty was met and my mother is still rejoicing in having found this great truth that is available at all times and for all mankind. It has brought us much joy, peace, and happiness in knowing the unreality of error.

I should like to relate a healing I experienced during our stay in the Philippine Islands. I did not have a diagnosis given at any time, but I think the trouble was an infection of the finger. I was very ill, and to mortal sense it seemed that I was losing a hard-fought battle when a loving and faithful practitioner gave me these words by Mary Baker Eddy (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I had no other help than Christian Science, and I give God the praise for this wonderful healing.
