The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
New York, New York (Eighth Church).
Lecturer: John W. Doorly; introduced by Mrs. Julia M. Johnston, who said:—
In order that we may listen profitably, the material senses need to be silent. So let us turn from the problems of the day, and from the personal struggles which would demand so much of our thinking, and for just one hour let us walk freely with God along the way of the spiritual understanding of Life. If we will do this who can say what vistas of peace may not open before us, what tender experiences of Christian healing may not be ours?
