[Original testimony in German]
I too wish to express through these pages my profound...
I too wish to express through these pages my profound gratitude for God's infinite, ever present love and goodness. For nearly twelve years I suffered from a serious disease of which a major operation did not heal me. I also suffered from heart disease; and in the course of the years other complaints asserted themselves. Then, in my great extremity, God led me to Christian Science. First of all I attended a lecture, and was so convinced of the truth of this teaching that at its close I returned home healed of a bad attack of the grippe. Soon afterwards I went to a practitioner and asked for treatment for the complaints already referred to, and this was lovingly given. The healing began to take place with the first treatment; and as I approached our Father-Mother God like child, full of faith and confidence, a strength never before known came to me, and I was completely healed. Words are inadequate to thank God for this deliverance; for now I can "run, and not be weary; and ... walk, and not faint."
For the many other blessings my family and I have experienced in Christian Science I am deeply grateful, and above all for the fact that I have learned to recognize that God is Life and Love. I am sincerely grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for having unlocked the Bible for us anew with the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am also very grateful to the practitioner, and to all the dear ones who have helped me to gain a better understanding of Christian Science.
