"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." This has been proved to me in many ways. I also wish to tell of a proof I had of God's ever present help in time of need. An elevator in which I was traveling fell three stories. When it struck the basement the other passengers, who had been thrown on the floor, were struggling and trying to get up, and I had great difficulty in breathing. The Scriptural thoughts came to me, "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils," and that we live, move, and have our being in God, who is All-power, all Life, Truth, and Love. As I entered the elevator the Daily Prayer (Manual, p. 41) had been in my thoughts, and I was dwelling in the "secret place of the most High." In Genesis we read, "Behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest." We all went home without any material assistance, reported for work the following morning, and continued to do so.—(Mrs.) Ida B. Webster, Denver, Colorado.
