Prior to the time "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was lovingly called to my attention, I had suffered constantly from one or more physical ailments. From the very beginning of my reading of this textbook a change began taking place in my consciousness; and during the first year I suddenly realized that a goiter and a chronic throat trouble had entirely disappeared. Through the loving help of a practitioner a severe form of stomach trouble was overcome. An arm, fractured at the elbow, was healed in ten days. Many other discordant physical conditions have been met during the past eight years by the application of the truth as taught in Christian Science. A loved one was healed of the tobacco habit, and with this healing came a most wonderful mental regeneration.

For the spiritual uplift, the peace and harmony that come through the study of the Bible with its "key," for the understanding that God is divine Principle and ever present Love and that "man is idea, the image, of Love" (Science and Health, p. 475), I am most grateful. Christian Science is teaching me kindness, patience, and meekness. The understanding that intelligence is an "eternal quality of infinite Mind" (ibid., p. 469) has enabled me to accomplish many things which before had been looked upon as impossibilities. Words fail to express my respect and love for our dear Leader, who, through a life of purity, unselfishness, and love for mankind, gave to the world this new-old truth, by which all may know God aright.
