In your recent issue there was published a special article by a doctor, entitled "Pictures of Disease," in which reference was made to Christian Science. While the doctor's reference is intended to be a kindly one, it might, nevertheless, be misleading, since your readers might conclude that Christian Science can be properly classified with the teachings of the different schools of psychology, mental science, new-thought, and psychoanalytical schools.

Christian Science is the Christianity which Jesus the Christ taught and practiced on earth many years ago. Christian Science entirely excludes the so-called human mind as a factor in healing. God, divine Mind, alone is the healer, and both sin and disease are healed by the same method. Jesus told his disciples plainly, when speaking of his ministry, "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." Speaking of the mission of Christian Science, on page 107 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy says, "Through Christian Science, religion and medicine are inspired with a diviner nature and essence; fresh pinions are given to faith and understanding, and thoughts acquaint themselves intelligently with God."
