During what physicians called an epidemic of typhoid...

During what physicians called an epidemic of typhoid fever I was taken very ill one morning. I managed to get my husband off to work without telling him, as he was not a Christian Scientist, and it was possible that he might call a physician. My desire was to be healed through Christian Science. I did my mental work all day, but when evening came I was so much worse that I became afraid. After making several attempts I reached the telephone and called a practitioner, who responded with these words: "Don't be afraid, dear." The love reflected in the words brought a great sense of peace, and I was healed of fear while standing at the telephone. Help was lovingly given, and in five days all symptoms of the trouble had left. All this time I was able to do my housework. This to me was a proof that God's law, as contained in the Bible and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, does heal.

I am indeed grateful for this and many other healings. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of Christian Science, for it was through her love for God and man that she was able to give to the world this truth. I can only express my gratitude by my daily living.
