Over ten years ago I came to California for my health, after everything else had failed, and was under the care of a chiropractor for some time; however, I did not improve. At that time a friend advised me to try Christian Science, and I did so. I called on a practitioner and after six treatments was healed of a disease which doctors had said was incurable. Since then I have been healed of stomach and bowel trouble, supposed to have been inherited. I was also healed of a broken bone in my foot, and was able to do my work without any material aid. I was healed of influenza, also of measles; and sensitiveness and impatience have been overcome. To say I am grateful for these healings seems so little! I think I am most grateful for the spiritual uplifting and the peace of mind that have come through the study of this wonderful truth. I can now understand in some degree what Jesus meant when he said, "If ye continue in my word, ... ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

I am grateful for membership in a branch church, and for the privilege of class instruction; grateful for all our literature and church activities. Christian Science is the "pearl of great price" that our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has revealed to this world; and it is setting the captive free.
