During my ten years' study of Christian Science I have enjoyed numerous blessings. My mother was healed of sick headaches of many years' standing through her study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

It has been my privilege to prove that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." After an operation for a ruptured appendix—peritonitis, a severe cough, and paralysis of the bowels having complicated the condition—my parents were informed that I could not possibly live more than two days; but Christian Science help was sought, and the application of the statement that "God is Life" raised me up. In less than two weeks I returned home, the wound being perfectly healed, much to the astonishment of the doctors and nurses at the hospital. I have never suffered any ill effects from this experience. In fact, it has proved a blessing; for many times when doubt has tried to gain admittance into my thought the recalling of this wonderful healing has given me new courage.

At another time my arm was scalded from the elbow to the tips of my fingers. This was met within twelve hours with the assistance of Christian Scientists who were present at the time. Later, I lost the sense of hearing in my right ear, and the other was gradually being affected. A practitioner met this difficulty for me in five treatments.
