Not many years ago, being a young wife and mother, I...

Not many years ago, being a young wife and mother, I awakened to the fact of the impossibility of my ways and methods being able to solve the problems which daily confronted me, and of what Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 1): "Thoughts unspoken are not unknown to the divine Mind. Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." As my desire was for something that would meet my every need, I now understand how in a short time I found the blessed truth of Christian Science.

We are a family of five, and Christian Science has been our only means of healing for more than eight years. At the time I began the study of Christian Science I was suffering greatly from an acid condition of the stomach, which caused me much discomfort; but it was not long before this condition entirely disappeared, together with the following ills: varicose veins, ear trouble, measles, whooping cough, sore feet, headaches, nervousness, burns. A sense of fear and limitation is being overcome to a great extent, and I am finding that the desert of human hope can bud and "blossom as the rose."

Not long ago one of our daughters was suffering from a boil. I called a practitioner and told her we were afraid that the boil might need to be opened. She assured me that I need not fear, as the condition would be taken care of. In a short time the boil opened, and healing followed rapidly. For this healing we are very grateful.
