Having proved for myself Mrs. Eddy's words in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 206), "In the scientific relation of God to man, we find that whatever blesses one blesses all," I feel led to give this testimony.

Christian Science has healed me of grief. About seven years ago, through the illness and the passing away of my only brother, I became interested in the beautiful truth taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus here upon earth over nineteen centuries ago, and revealed again to this age by Mary Baker Eddy, to both of whom I owe endless homage. By a careful and persistent study of Science and Health, and also by the patient and loving help of practitioners, the way of Life, Truth, and Love, instead of sin, sickness, and death, has gradually been unfolded to my consciousness, thereby healing me of grief that was seemingly overwhelming. (I had lost my husband during the world war.)

Christian Science has also healed me of the need of wearing glasses, after wearing them for over twenty years and being threatened with blindness. One evening, just a short time after taking up the study of Science, while I was reading Science and Health, the thought came to me that my glasses were just the same as medicine in the sense that I was depending upon them to strengthen my sight, instead of relying upon the healing power of the one and only God, the Great Physician. Then the "still small voice" asked me to lay them aside. Believing that obedience was essential in order to progress in Science, I immediately took them off. The next morning, however, I started for school without putting on the full armor of God.
