Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication for the Year Ended September 30, 1927

Texas.

The number of items referred to this Committee for attention the past year was considerably less than in the preceding year, when the medical forces were making attacks on our practice throughout the state. Thirty-nine items have been replied to since our last annual report.

It appears, from reports received, that editors often decline to print attacks on Christian Science, and usually they are willing that replies be made to such attacks as are reported. To illustrate this, an editor, when asked by an assistant to publish a reply to an attack, expressed regret that the criticism had inadvertently got into his paper, and stated that he was very glad to allow the correction.
