The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada (First Church).

Lecturer: Rev. Andrew J. Graham; introduced by Miss Helene D. Allward, who said:—

Never before in the history of the religious world has there been such a reaching out for a more spiritual understanding of God, of the universe, and of man, as there is to-day; and Christian Science is, in a very great measure, satisfying that yearning. The indwelling Christ-idea, which existed before time was, is manifesting itself in the hearts of men to-day, and is gradually but surely bringing about one grand brotherhood. One of the most prominent phases of Christian Science is its tender and compassionate message of healing. From all over the world could be gathered a mighty host of witnesses to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science; and I am thankful to be counted among them. I have been healed of what medical authorities called incurable anæmia; for which I am intensely and humbly grateful.
