It is over six years since I became a student of Christian Science, and in that time I have had many proofs of the wonderful truth taught us by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I was healed the first time I attended a Christian Science service on a Wednesday evening, so that there was no need for an operation which had seemed very necessary. I was completely taken up with the healing testimonies of others at the meeting, and thought at last I had found that God does not send sickness, and that if God healed others He would heal me.

A few weeks later our daughter, then a girl of three, was taken very ill with a high fever. My husband, who at that time was not interested in Christian Science, said we had better call a doctor; but it was Wednesday evening, and I asked him to wait until I came home from church, for I knew that God who had healed me would heal her also. I told him I would talk to a practitioner about the case. I did, and she told me that the child belonged to God. You who are reading this testimony, think what this meant to me: God's child, and He would take care of her! This was beautiful to me, and I left her in God's care. The practitioner's parting words were, "Loose her, and let her go." The next day she was out playing.

Words can never express the love and gratitude I feel for the healing truth which our dear Leader gave to the world to save mankind from sin, sickness, and death. I am also deeply grateful to the loving, kind, and patient practitioners; to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower; and to the ever present, available God, who, as Christian Science teaches us, meets our every need.
