I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing. Although I had seen a neighbor healed, it was not until a relative began the study that I became interested. One of the first healings we had in our home was of our infant boy. The attending physician said he had heart trouble, and would not be strong or live very long. I at once had a letter sent to a dear practitioner asking for help, which was lovingly given; and in two weeks the baby was perfectly healed. He is now a strong child, and has never taken medicine.

An elder child had measles and grippe one winter. It seemed to leave him so that he could not hear unless we were very close to him and talked very loudly. I finally sent him to school on a Friday afternoon. The teacher sent word by our little girl that we would have to do something, as he could not hear. On Saturday morning I took him to a practitioner. He received present treatment, and was instantly healed. As we went home I talked to him in a natural way, and almost to my surprise he could hear.

Many blessings have come into our home through the understanding of Christian Science. The evening before our last baby was born I had my husband go to town and get my sister-in-law, who is also a Christian Scientist. She had helped me on several occasions before. I was delivered so quickly that it seemed like a miracle. I am deeply grateful for this experience, because when our other children were born I suffered for a long time.

I am overcoming impatience with the children, and anger, criticism, and misjudging. I am grateful to know when some error seems to be manifested that, if instead of thinking of it as a trial and burden, I will look at it as an opportunity to prove God's power, I can prove there is a blessing to be gained.

Last April our little boy, then six years old, was run over. He was picked up and rushed to a doctor's office. When we reached the office, they had him bandaged and said he had two broken ribs and one bent one. We immediately called a practitioner, and work was begun. This happened about noon, and the next morning he was healed. Neighbors and friends called, expecting to see him in a serious condition, but found him up and playing. The healing has been permanent. I am grateful to God for this quick healing and to the practitioner who helped us.

I am grateful for the Sunday school, where the children may learn of the truth which makes free—not that they will not have trials, but that they will be able to meet them scientifically. Many times I notice as I am pondering over some question, that the answer is revealed to me through some of the periodicals. About three and a half years ago I was suffering from stomach trouble. I was afraid of cancer; so I wrote to a practitioner asking for help, and I was healed at once.

I am grateful to all who have kindly helped me in times of need. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church. I am grateful to God for our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy; and grateful for all our literature.
