I have received many wonderful healings through the study and application of Christian Science; in fact, so many that space could hardly be given to tell the details of all of them.
In March, 1925, I was employed in EI Dorado, Arkansas, and my duties required my going to the surrounding towns. On one of these trips my stepson and I had driven to Camden, a distance of thirty-two miles from EI Dorado, had performed our duties, and were ready to start on our return trip. I tried to crank the car we were driving, and in so doing broke a bone in my right wrist, tearing the tendons of the arm to the elbow. I lost consciousness, and upon recovering found myself being lifted into the rear seat of the car, and heard an inquiry being made as to where the nearest doctor could be found. I requested that no doctor should be called, and that my stepson drive me back to EI Dorado. This he did.
On the way back I applied the teachings of Christian Science to the extent of my understanding, thereby alleviating the pain to a great extent. After arriving in EI Dorado, I changed clothes, and then telegraphed to a practitioner in Salt Lake City, Utah, who had many times before lovingly helped me out of seemingly difficult experiences, explaining the condition to her and requesting her help. This occurred on a Saturday afternoon. The following Monday I wrote out a report, consisting of several pages, using the injured hand in so doing. The healing was complete in about three weeks, without any inconvenient after effects.
