[Original testimony in German]

With joy I wish to tell of some healings which have come to me through Christian Science.
In December, 1924, I learned through a friend in Frankfurt am Main that we had Christian Science in Germany, and when I left that city he gave me a copy of Der Herold der Christian Science. I read it and laid it aside, and went to Baden-Baden to follow a course of treatment. When I returned in the spring of 1925, another acquaintance told me that two of her sisters-in-law had been healed in Christian Science, and spoke of a lady who lived in our city, Lübeck, who could tell me about Christian Science. I then attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, which made a great impression on me. Next I went to see a practitioner in Hamburg, who lovingly helped me to understand the truth. After I had attended a few services I was able to lay aside glasses which I had worn, when reading and working, for fifteen years. I was able to discard a head band which I had worn at night, formerly in the daytime too, for fifteen years, on account of tension in my head. I was healed of inflammation of the ball of the foot, which had caused me much pain since childhood, and for which a physician had advised an operation a short time before. Corns, too, were healed.
I was also healed of sleeplessness, from which I had suffered since childhood. When I was in the hospital several years ago the house physician told me that in order to put me to sleep they would be obliged to give me such a quantity of drugs that I would not wake up again! Although I was taking morphine and veronal at the same time, they were of no avail. Only one who knows what this suffering is can know how grateful I am for healing through Christian Science.
