It is with great joy I add this testimony to those of so many others who have experienced the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. Having failed, as a student at Cambridge University, to pass a preliminary examination, I was advised to take a lower course than that of the Tripos, for which I had been working. At this point, I began the study of Christian Science. This wonderful religion revealed to me the fact that there is but one Mind, God, and that since man is the reflection of God, he reflects Mind, infinite intelligence. With this awakened sense of man's birthright, I resolved, in spite of opposition, to go forward in my Tripos studies.

At the beginning of the next academic year, upon requesting my supervisor to continue supervising me for the Tripos examination, he kindly but firmly refused, stating that unless something miraculous had happened since the previous examination it was hopeless for me to sit for the Tripos examination. A "miracle" had happened, and Christian Science had wrought it; for in June, 1925, and again in 1926, I passed both parts of the Tripos with honors, to the amazement and extreme pleasure of my supervisor. During this period, in which much erroneous thinking had to be destroyed, constant help was given by a Christian Science practitioner, through whose unselfed labors and love, not only I, but our whole family of nine, have been led to Christian Science.

I have had many physical healings, which although small have meant much to me. Several years ago I suffered very much from toothache. I determined to handle this error myself, and not go to a dentist. Through studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, faithfully, this trouble was entirely overcome, and the healing has remained permanent. As my study of Christian Science increased, colds in the head, from which I had always suffered, disappeared; and they have not returned. A haggard face has filled out, and indigestion has been successfully met and destroyed. Before coming to Christian Science I could not work for long at anything without being overcome by either physical or mental fatigue. Christian Science, however, has given me increased life and health, and the joy to work. My finger nails used to be in a very poor state, owing to my biting them. One day a Christian Scientist chanced to relate to me a testimony she had read of discordant finger nails being remedied by loving more. I worked on this line, and very soon the power of Truth and Love destroyed this bad habit, which will-power had failed to cure. About three years ago, when abroad, I had a very painful attack of diarrhea. Reading the textbook, I clung steadfastly to Truth as the only curative power, and after several hours' study was completely healed of the fear of this trouble.
