An Open Door

"I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it."

Revelation 3:8

An open door into the treasure house of Truth,
God hath before thee set;
Thou shalt go in and out, and gather priceless pearls
To pay the world's great debt.
God's angels, smiling-faced and pure, waiting to bless,
With outstretched arms are there,
Proffering largess of hope, and faith, and love,
And inspiration rare.
Fear not: no man can shut the door; no human sense
Of limitation, pride,
Or false humility can bar God's children out. Behold,
The door is swinging wide!
