Many years ago, when I was a child, Christian Science came to our home through some friends who had been healed by it. My mother was then a semi-invalid. When she was told that in Christian Science healing was accomplished through prayer, in exactly the same way that Jesus healed, she said she wanted to be healed in that way.

There was one woman in the small western town in South Dakota where we then lived who had learned enough about Christian Science to be able to help others, and who afterward became a loyal student of Mrs. Eddy. To her my mother was directed to ask for help; and in three treatments she was healed of a physical ailment of twenty years' standing, with the result that the ailment has never returned, and her health has been better since than it ever was before. Through all the succeeding years she has had an active and useful life. Seven years passed before I took up the study of Christian Science, although I believed from the time of my mother's healing that it was the truth. Since then I have been healed of severe colds, burns, nervous prostration, and have many times realized God's protection and guidance. Other members of my family have been healed of rheumatism, sprained ankle, pneumonia, and have been brought through other trying experiences. When living on a ranch we also applied the truth to the animals that were in need.

For the many blessings which I have had through Christian Science all these years, and for the revelation of Truth which Mrs. Eddy has given to the world, I am truly grateful.
