I have had much help in times of doubt and discouragement from the testimonies in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mary Baker Eddy, and in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel.

It is four years since I took up the study of Christian Science, and I have had many proofs of its efficacy. The demonstrations made with only a little understanding of Mrs. Eddy's teachings have impressed me very much, and I should like to mention a few of them.

One night when going to a Christian Science lecture in a distant town, I realized I had forgotten to make a note of the hall where the lecture was to be given, and I could not find the place when we got there. No one seemed to know where it was; but suddenly a sentence from our textbook came to thought (p. 454): "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way." Holding to this, and knowing that God was guiding us, I drove up to some people and asked them if they knew where the lecture was to be given. They did not know; so I asked them regarding the halls in the town, and they gave me the names of half a dozen. I thanked them and drove on. One hall seemed to stand out before me more than the others, and I found I was quite near it. We were just in time for the lecture. Some other Scientists came in after us and told us that they had not known where the hall was, but had seen our car and followed it.
