[Original testimony in German]

I should like to express my gratitude for the many...

I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me in Christian Science. Through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I am learning to understand the Bible aright. Through experience I have learned that omnipotent divine Love, ever present good, can satisfy every human need. Thus I was privileged to experience the power of Truth in the autumn of 1927.

I fell with a pail of boiling water, the water spilling over me. I immediately realized the truth by knowing that God, good, expresses Himself in harmony only, and that man, His image and likeness, cannot meet with an accident or be injured: and there was no sign of a burn. I had been bruised by the fall, and this caused me severe pain every time I moved. But this, too, was overcome by studying and holding fast to the truth. However, I still had pain in my left side, and as it grew steadily worse I thought I had sustained internal injuries. It turned out that in falling I had broken several ribs. I felt I could not master this alone, so I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help; which was lovingly given. Fear vanished, and joy and confidence took its place. I felt a change coming over me, and in four days I was healed. A few years ago I was healed of a sprained foot in a very short time.

I am sincerely grateful to God that He led me to this wonderful truth. Christian Science leads us to the source from which we may freely draw, and which never fails. It gives us the bread of Life, that all who eat may be strengthened and find healing and joy. I am sincerely grateful to God, the Giver of all good; to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who revealed the truth to us; and to the dear practitioner. I am also grateful for the privilege of being able to attend the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
