About six years ago, I was awakened about two o'clock...
About six years ago, I was awakened about two o'clock one morning with a severe pain in the abdomen. I worked for myself in Science the best I could, with the result that the pain lessened and I was able to go to sleep again; but in a few minutes the pain returned—only much worse, so much so that I became unconscious and fell to the floor. When I came back to consciousness, the first words I remembered were, "God is my Life." That was all I could say for a few minutes. Then I asked my husband to call a practitioner, but he was unable to get her. I called her later and explained to her what had happened. She told me she would help me throughout the day; and I am grateful to say that I have never had that kind of pain since. The morning this occurred I was able to attend to our baby and help get the two other little ones ready for school.
Some time ago, while stitching on the machine, somehow I got my finger in the way, and the needle went through it. I reversed the wheel, knowing that in reality there are no accidents. I worked for myself according to Christian Science. At the time I was pianist for one of our branch churches. I went that evening and played as usual.
I am so grateful to think that my dear mother was a Christian Scientist and had me attend the Christian Science Sunday School. I hope this testimony will help someone who is seeking Christian Science. Mrs. Eddy's books are always my companions, and I love them. I want to say that divine Love has never failed me. My children attend the Christian Science Sunday School, and I am a member of The Mother Church.—(Mrs.)Alice D. Campbell, West Medford, Massachusetts.
