A medical doctor, writing under the heading "The Irrefragable Order of Optimists," in a recent issue, quoted comment from a correspondent derogatory to Christian Science. I wish to refute the assertion that Christian Scientists are "rabid" or "fanatical." Permit me to say that there is nothing in the teaching or practice of Christian Science which could possibly develop religious mania in any sincere thinker. In fact, it is quite generally acknowledged that Christian Science imparts spiritual peace and love in a manner that stamps its adherents as exemplary Christians.
