Under the heading, "The Crisis in the Church," your correspondent refers to the teaching of Christian Science with regard to God in a way which might create a wrong impression. Christian Scientists are happy that by means of their textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, they are learning to worship God in an understanding way. On page 587, the following definition of "God" is given: "The great I am ; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." The understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him is the truth which Christ Jesus promised should make us free, and which in actual practice is being proved by Christian Scientists to-day.
