With a heart full of gratitude I wish to give testimony to the wonderful healing I have received through Christian Science treatment. When Christian Science came to my rescue I was a hopeless wreck, almost on the verge of insanity, as the result of taking patent medicine, in the hope of obtaining relief from my sufferings.

Many years before I had largely lost faith in drugs, as they never seemed to help me. Still I felt it necessary to resort to them occasionally. At this period I knew that if I were to be treated by physicians again, my condition would necessitate a serious and probably fatal operation. I also became convinced that the patent medicines were no longer helping me, as I was gradually growing worse. I was compelled to abandon my literary activities, as I was unable to concentrate upon anything. Those around me recognized that I was becoming mentally unbalanced. I gave up all hope, and my only consolation was that such an existence could not last long; but it did, and I continued to suffer.

It was at this point that I was advised to take up Christian Science treatment. This I finally did, going to see a practitioner; and after the first treatment I was able to sleep soundly, a thing that for a long time I had been unable to do on account of continual suffering. In a very short time I was completely healed. I never knew when the ailments vanished: I only knew that I felt as though I had never been ill; and I have remained that way ever since. I am now able to do anything that comes to me, without any inconvenience. My mentality has been restored, and is keener and more acute than ever before. My life is one song of happiness and thanksgiving that God has restored me to health, and that I am now able to pursue my aim in life.

I am grateful that through Christian Science I have realized the divine truth which makes free. I am grateful that through Mrs Eddy's obedience and faithfulness she became the channel for this truth which is rescuing humanity. My heart goes out in gratitude to the loving practitioner who helped me, and who is still so patient and kind in pointing out the way in which to gain a greater understanding of Christian Science.
