I am most grateful for Christian Science and for what it...

I am most grateful for Christian Science and for what it has done and is doing for me. My mother had Christian Science treatment at my birth; and when I was a baby Christian Science expressed around the home protected me from childhood diseases. Later, when old enough, I joined the Christian Science Sunday School, and there gained a clear childlike understanding that enabled me to become my own practitioner. We are taught that God is our Father-Mother, and that He protects, guides, and governs His children if we will but let Him. I am so grateful for having had the privilege of the Christian Science Sunday School, for membership in The Mother Church, for class instruction, and for activity as a member in a branch church. I also wish to express my gratitude to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the patient and loyal soldier of God who revealed this glorious healing and protecting power to us.

Owing to the protecting power of the truth I have had scarcely any illnesses in twenty-five years, and these may be pronounced colds. They have always been met instantly by my own application of the truth and the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Mrs. Eddy tells us: "The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through floodtides of Love. Christian perfection is won on no other basis" (Science and Health, p. 201). It is this sweet sense of Love as my protection and guide, upon which I rely wholly in my everyday routine, that dispels all seeming inharmonies.

I am grateful for all the Christian Science periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, a daily newspaper that is blessing all mankind, and for all the other activities our dear Leader so wisely and lovingly established.
