Although I had known of Christian Science for many years, it was not until physical disability, hate, fear, and worry had overwhelmed me that I turned to God in the way we are taught in Christian Science, and immediately obtained relief. A broken bone, long pronounced incurable, united, and I was able to resume work. The physical freedom means much, but I am more grateful for the spiritual regeneration and happiness. Faults of character, self-righteousness, and ambition are giving place to constructive thought and action. My work is more impersonal, calm, and effective.
I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing to us that man is, as she says, "like the archpriests of yore,... free 'to enter into the holiest,'—the realm of God" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 481).
For these blessings and for the privilege of membership in a branch church I am profoundly grateful to God. I am also grateful to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower. I have not words to thank those whose loving, patient persistence helped to light the way from sense to Soul.
HUBERT S. STEPHEN, Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
