Nearly four years ago, when I was very much discouraged, an intimate friend spoke to me of Christian Science. I was suffering from stomach trouble and enteritis. In spite of the care of many physicians whom I had consulted, it was impossible to digest anything. I had taken treatment at Châtel-Guyon without obtaining any result. Realizing that I could not digest the food prescribed by the doctor, I decided to try Christian Science. With this object I went to Paris, accompanied by my husband. I called on a practitioner, who welcomed me cordially, encouraged me, and treated me with a great deal of kindness. After the second treatment I was able to digest all kinds of food; and from that time I stopped drinking wine. This healing has been permanent.

The Bible and the marvelous book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, are my "only preachers" (Christian Science Quarterly, Explanatory Note).

I am grateful for the physical benefits received, but I am much more grateful that Christian Science has enabled me to know God as All-Love, and that the application of His law is leading me each day toward Him, in proportion to my obedience to His commandments. I am most thankful to God and to His Son, Christ Jesus, who has shown us the way. This way was apparently lost, but has been found again through the revelation of Mrs. Eddy, to whom I express deep gratitude for the efficacious help which Science and Health has brought into my life.—(Mrs.) Marie Antoinette Legros-Barbe, Foix, France.
