Among the Churches

Current Notes

Salinas, California (Society).—The Christian Science Society in Salinas is erecting a church edifice on Winham Street, just off South Main Street, two and one half blocks from the business district of the city. The structure is of English design of architecture, with stucco finish. The foundation is laid, and the building will be ready for occupancy in January.—Salinas Daily Journal.

Johnstown, Pennsylvania (First Church).—A milestone in the growth of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city was marked recently when the church property of the old Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Church, now known as the Vine Street Presbyterian Church, at Vine and Llewellyn Streets, was acquired. A Reading Room in the annex of the church edifice will be open to the public daily, with the exception of Sundays and holidays.—Johnstown Tribune.
