Christian Science is the "pearl of great price" to me, and I wish to offer this testimony of some of the blessings I have received. The first healing I experienced always stands out as a wonderful one. From early childhood I had suffered frequently from severe nervous headaches and bilious attacks. All sorts of medicine and treatment were tried, but with no permanent relief. Finally, I resolved to turn to Christian Science; and when I wanted the truth more than anything else, I was instantaneously healed.

I had never read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel had been given to me. This I read and tried to understand. The healing was a proof of the statement from our textbook (p. 449), "A grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth." The great spiritual uplift which followed this healing enabled me to lay aside glasses which I had worn for fifteen years. For nearly six years I have had no need for them, and I have read a great deal as well as used my eyes for close work of other kinds.

There have been many healings in my family, which I will mention briefly. Tonsillitis, neuritis, measles, and a severe form of fever have yielded quickly to the truth. Recently I had the wonderful experience of a practically painless childbirth. The birth was quick and very harmonious in every way. For these wonderful proofs of God's love and care I am very, very grateful.
