I should like to add this testimony of a wonderful healing of blood poisoning to the many others which appear in the Christian Science periodicals.

When I spoke to a member of our Christian Science Society about this trouble, she advised me to see a practitioner. It was my first visit to a practitioner, and I shall never forget the peace that I felt while she told me of the unreality of error and the allness of God, good. Before seeing the practitioner I had been in terrible pain, and the members of my family were very indignant because I refused to have a doctor treat me. I, however, received such assurance from the Christian Science services which I attended and from the loving help of those who went to them, that I was able to realize in a degree that God is indeed our only Physician, and that He never fails to heal. The practitioner told me to keep a cloth around the affected part to keep it clean, and to leave the rest to God. I asked whether I should poultice it, and the reply came, "Don't you know that God heals inwardly as well as outwardly?" This answer made such an impression on me that I realized I was healed. I have also been healed of astigmatism, and have been able to lay aside glasses which a doctor had told me I must always wear. I am very grateful for the little understanding I have of Christian Science.
