The Lectures

Cleveland, Ohio (First Church).

Lecturer: Bicknell Young; introduced by Ralph B. Textor, who said:—

The giving of a Christian Science lecture is a great event in a community, because it is the spreading of the good news that there is a Science which enables us to work out our every human problem. Since such is the case, should we not rejoice in having found what might be called the Science of Science? The efficacy of Christian Science healing was very definitely and beautifully proved to me at a time when I was having a great struggle with mental depression, in which I had been driven by an extreme sense of self-pity almost to the verge of insanity. At this point I turned with my whole heart and soul to Christian Science for help, and through the loving assistance of one of its loyal practitioners I was completely lifted out of this mental distress. In addition to this healing I have had many others proofs of the power of God's Word to heal all manner of discordant conditions—mental, physical, home, and business problems—through the understanding and application of God's availability, as revealed in Christian Science by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.
