I should like to tell of what Christian Science has done...

I should like to tell of what Christian Science has done for me. When in the depths of despair I was instantaneously healed of a serious condition of nervous breakdown from which I had been suffering for many months. The spiritual illumination which came to me at that time has never left me. It was a glimpse into the realm of reality, in which everything exists in, and by the law of, God, good. I have also been healed of eyestrain, depression, influenza, and many other troubles. Christian Science was a constant protection to me in childhood and has been since, both physically and mentally; and the daily study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy has brought me more and more happiness and freedom.

I am deeply grateful for the experience I have had as a worker in the Christian Science sanatorium. It is indeed "a city that is set on an hill," and no one can work there without growing in understanding of the truth. Mrs. Eddy writes on page 55 of Science and Health, "The time for the reappearing of the divine healing is throughout all time; and whosoever layeth his earthly all on the altar of divine Science, drinketh of Christ's cup now, and is endued with the spirit and power of Christian healing." The one motive of all the associates working there seems to be to gain more of the Christ-spirit to enable them to become better healers of the world's woe. It is a great joy and privilege to live and work in such a steadfastly uplifting atmosphere. Words are inadequate to express all the gratitude I feel to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her revelation of Christian Science.
