It is many years since I found this glorious truth which Jesus said would make us free. At a time when it was said that I must undergo an operation, I received from a dear cousin living in Caracas, South America, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At that time I did not know anything about Christian Science. I opened the book and began to read at once with the help of a dictionary. The contents were so very interesting to me that I read many hours and forgot all about my sufferings. For six months I had suffered from stomach trouble. Very soon I realized that fear was the cause of my trouble. I continued to read earnestly; and in a day and a half was free from the pain, and felt I was healed. Words fail to express my gratitude for the peace and joy that have come to me through this wonderful and quite unexpected healing.

Several weeks afterwards bowel trouble manifested itself, and as I felt that my understanding was not sufficient I applied to a practitioner for help, with the result that in two weeks I was perfectly healed. This all took place in the year 1911. I never had a return of either of these difficulties, and never have resorted since to material remedies.

My whole life since I found Christian Science has been full of joy and gratitude—gratitude, which cannot be expressed in words, to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth which through her has been given back to mankind.—(Miss) Emma Dolge, Probstdeuben nr. Leipzig, Germany.
