It is with a great sense of gratitude I am sending this testimony. The truth as taught in Christian Science lifted me out of discouragement, for I did not think I should ever be well again. I had treatment one week, and was healed of a trouble that had baffled doctors and medicine for years.

We have had many proofs of healing in our family. The first after the regaining of my own health was that of our little daughter of five years, who was very low with pneumonia. We asked help of a Scientist in another town, for we were strangers in the place where we were living, and the child's recovery was so quick that it attracted considerable attention. The next winter another child manifested the same disease, and I was able to overcome it in one night; the next day he was perfectly well.

For a number of years we lived where there was no one else interested in Christian Science, nor could we attend church. It would be impossible to enumerate all the blessings I have experienced. One was that of painless childbirth. I shall always give thanks to God for giving us this revelation of Truth through Mrs. Eddy. One victory stands out beyond all others. The youngest boy had his leg broken. It was badly set; and after nine weeks in the hospital he was brought home. The doctor showed me that the injured leg was about two inches shorter than the other. He said it could not be helped. I was talking with a Scientist one day, and she said it was my duty to see that God's child is perfect. So I went to work very earnestly to know that God's ideas are always perfect, and cannot be separated from His care. As Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection." The work was done, and the boy walks as well as any one. I am thankful to all who have helped me.
