I became interested in Christian Science over fifteen years ago when I started to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy to help my mother, who was ill. Neither of us knew anything about this method of healing; but we had friends who had been Scientists for years, and I hoped my mother would find some relief. She was helped at once; and a few days after our first visit to a practitioner, I went alone to ask for a treatment for a very bad attack of tonsillitis. I had my first instantaneous healing; and I have never forgotten the wonder and joy of it.

For several years I kept on reading, although I did not care to study seriously. Then my mother passed on, and I again went to a practitioner. This time I was healed of sorrow; and the healing seemed so wonderful to me that I decided to begin to study this great truth in earnest. Many physical ailments were overcome in the years that followed, among them severe colds which I used to have every winter, headache, and an attack of ptomaine poisoning.

My son, who is now eleven years old, has had the benefit of Christian Science all his life, and every childish disease that has assailed him has been quickly destroyed by the understanding of God and man's relationship to Him. Four years ago he was healed in three days of pneumonia.
