The teachings of Christian Science are based wholly and entirely upon the Bible, and neither Mrs. Eddy nor any one else connected with Christian Science has ever claimed to be God or to be anything more than a humble, earnest seeker and follower of the truth as taught by Christ Jesus. He taught and exemplified one doctrine, which was that of love for God and man. It would accomplish no good purpose to indulge in a controversial discussion with one who in the name of Christ refuses to follow him in his fundamental teachings and preaches a doctrine of hate instead of Love. Christian Science is demonstrable and provable by any who will earnestly apply its teachings in the spirit of the Master. The results that will follow in the way of physical healing and spiritual regeneration will be a sufficient answer to the questions or arguments that may arise in the consciousness of any who are sufficiently interested to consider the subject. It is, however, a matter of living and not one of academic speculation. Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." The validity of this has been proved in the lives of thousands who have followed and applied the teachings of Christian Science and have thus come into the consciousness of Immanuel, or "God with us."
