A Priceless Pearl

IT is a fact well known among Christian Scientists that the teaching received by the children in the Christian Science Sunday School is of great value. It is appreciated very highly by those who have had the privilege of being members of the Sunday school. When we try to express how much good has come, and is coming each day, from the many helpful lessons learned in the Sunday school, we find that words are quite inadequate. Only by constantly applying the beautiful truths learned, and persistently proving our inheritance as the children of God, are we able to furnish evidence that we are living witnesses of the teachings received.

That God's children are at-one with the Father is one of the early truths taught in the Christian Science Sunday School and one readily grasped by the child-thought. This teaching gives the children absolute assurance that they are never alone, and that there is always with them a "still small voice" which will guard and guide them into the right path if they will but listen. They are taught, as Isaiah proclaimed: "And thine ears shall hear a word, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it."

We all know, and have proved many times, that a right understanding of God restores harmony; and this is just what the children are being taught,—a correct understanding of God. With this armor on they can commence, even when mere babes, the practice of the truth which makes free. They are thus protected from beliefs of accident, fear, and unhappiness. They know that the "everlasting arms" of Love are constantly about them.
