In the spring of 1910 I came to Idaho seeking healing...

In the spring of 1910 I came to Idaho seeking healing from what a specialist called tubercular bronchial trouble. Doctors advised me that a change of climate was my only hope; but the change failed to give me any relief. During the first year in the West my health was worse than ever. One of the best physicians there told me there was no hope for me, and gave me from six months to a year to live. After giving up all hope of receiving assistance from doctors, I began to wonder what might help me. About that time a friend, a Christian Scientist, gave me a Christian Science Sentinel, and asked me to try Christian Science. After some thinking about it, I decided to do so. I called in a practitioner and told him all my troubles; also told him I smoked, drank some, and used bad language. From the first treatment I was healed of all these erroneous habits; and in three weeks I was healed of the tubercular trouble.

To-day I am a well man, enjoying my work, and striving each day to gain a better understanding of God as divine Principle. I owe everything to Christian Science, and am more than grateful for what it has done for me.
