Nearly ten years ago I first called for help in Christian Science for relief from tonsillitis, and received an instantaneous healing. Being happy with the result received in this case, I immediately asked for treatment for asthma of about thirty years' standing. This help was lovingly given, and within two days I was completely healed; and I am so grateful that the healing was permanent. I at once took up the study of this wonderful truth, and have had very many rich experiences. The tobacco habit was overcome; the sense of lack has been eliminated to a great extent, and harmony established in the home; and many wonderful physical healings have been ours, among which I should like to relate the following.

One Saturday afternoon, while at a table endeavoring to open a tin can with a small screw driver, the instrument slipped, going through the first and second fingers of the left hand and pinning them to the table. I immediately withdrew the tool from the fingers and wrapped a cloth around them, declaring the truth as best I could; with the result that within ten minutes the bleeding and pain ceased, and I suffered no inconvenience whatever. My Sunday school class could hardly see the marks the following day.

Another almost immediate healing was experienced a few years ago from influenza. I came home at night with all the symptoms of that disease, and being unable to help myself, I called a practitioner. Within an hour I was asleep; and about five o'clock the next morning I started out with a party of friends for a day's outing, and suffered no more.
