I have relied solely on Christian Science for nearly sixteen years. Many physical healings have been experienced. The first one was of bowel trouble, while reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I am particularly grateful for a better understanding of substance, which has enabled me to overcome the fear of lack and financial difficulties. I am learning each day the practical way to lay up "treasures in heaven." During a recent trip abroad, I found Christian Science a daily help. In the midst of a terrific storm at sea I could go to my berth without fear, knowing that "the voice of the Lord is upon the waters;" and in spite of the noise and confusion, I could quietly repeat the verse from Psalms, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety."

I am deeply grateful to the revered Leader of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, and to those who so lovingly helped me to take my first steps in gaining a better understanding of God, "whom to know aright is Life eternal" (Science and Health, Pref., p. vii).
